Sin

A sin is more than something that affects just you.

It can also ruin a heart, a friendship, a relationship.  However, a sin can also help you to realize that you are able to be forgiven. That you may be able to understand that there is someone who is a Higher Power who is willing, able and lovingly ready to accept you, strengthen you and renew you.

He desires your weakness so that you may be drawn to Him. He desires it so that you may trust Him. He wants you to call upon Him for all that is going on in your life. He doesn’t only want you to speak to Him when things are going well. So don’t allow sin to be your end all-be all. Don’t think that not sinning is the only way that God will love you; or think that He will only love you if you’re perfect—-Because that’s not true.

Our aim is to be more like Him, but we will encounter a rough road and learn along the way. Jesus was perfect, but it wasn’t easy. He didn’t automatically have people believing in Him. Everyone didn’t trust Him. People wanted to kill Him. People killed Him. Yet, He still went on doing what He was doing to reach his calling; His purpose. Although it’s reversed—-and Jesus is perfect, but —-that’s why he sacrificed for us. For me. For you.

He knew that we would also be abusive. He knew that we would take advantage. He knew that we would fail, but He didn’t want us to apply so much guilt to ourselves but rather to just come back to Him. To believe in Him more and more. To trust Him. And the great part about that is that He is so forgiving. Eventually you will remind yourself that so often, that you would soon become accustomed to not wanting to disappoint him, so the sinning decreases.

Until then, He forgives.

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with that temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
